Venue Rentals

The Halifax Forum Community Association consists of a Board of Directors and a management team that operates, promotes and manages the day to day activities of the Forum Complex. The Forum Complex has 5 venues which can operate independently or flow through each other for larger events. The venues are the Halifax Forum, the Civic Centre, the Multi-Purpose Centre, the Maritime Hall and the Bingo Gaming Centre. The Halifax Forum is truly a piece of Maritime History. Built in 1927 to a high standard it is perhaps the last of its kind in the world. Its arena floor offers 16,000 square feet of exhibit space with an additional 5,500 square feet throughout the concourse.

Halifax Forum

The Forum features reserved seating for 4,610 in a 180 degree set plus add an additional 1,250 on the floor for a non-ice event. Eight recently renovated dressing rooms, new ice deck, new concourse flooring, new stage, new heating and dehumidification systems, a new security system and 500 parking spaces in a downtown location make this venue an ideal choice for your next event.

Civic Centre

Another multi-use arena. It is connected to the north side of the Forum and it faces our Young Street corner. The Civic arena offers an ice surface of 16,000 square feet plus a concourse area of 1,000 square feet.
The Civic Centre has bleacher seating for 850 plus 1,250 on the floor for a non-ice event.  Six dressing rooms , adjacent meeting rooms and its connection to the Forum and the Multi-Purpose Centre make this a very flexible event centre.

Multi-Purpose Centre

This is truly a Multi-Purpose Centre as throughout the year various events will be produced like; concerts, meetings, combat sports, trade shows, consumer shows, retail sales, dinners and dances to name a few. A very flexible 18,000 square feet lends itself to various set ups and floor plans. The entrance faces the busy corner of Young and Windsor Street making it very visible and accessible. General admission standing capacity for shows is 2,200. Built in bar and canteen services plus a break out room which doubles for a “green room” for concerts make this a convenient venue for production.

Maritime Hall

The Maritime Hall is a convenient conference room located between the Forum and the Bingo Hall. It features 4,500 square feet of multi-use conference space. This space is ideally used as a reception hall, meeting room, retail sales centre and an exhibition centre. With its own entrance off our Almon Street parking lot the Maritime Hall provides a convenient low cost alternative to small conferences wishing to meet downtown.

Bingo Gaming Centre

One step in this modern gaming centre immediately eliminates the old stereotyped ideas of a Bingo Hall. This 18,000 square foot venue is usually set with tables and comfortable chairs for 500 for we run bingo every night. When we are not busy operating bingo, the venue is used quite often as a meeting centre for large groups who wish to meet in a central location. As a meeting hall it features an abundant amount of tables and chairs, two- projectors and 10 ‘ screens with audio and a wireless public address system. A stage is provided for presenters to large groups. As an 8am-5:00pm venue it is ideal for you have a downtown location able to host large groups and we can provide free parking.
